By Newguy

Jeff Bridges is one of the most reliably stars in the business today, he has had 6 Oscar Nomination and one win to his name. he has 84 credits to his name according to the IMDB over his career which has spanned over 50 years. Today we are going to look at our favorite 5 performance from the legend of the business.jeff

My picks are of films I have seen, so if something you think was better didn’t make the list, it most likely is because I haven’t seen it yet.

5. Kevin Flynn – Tron/Tron Legacy (1982/2010)

Playing the same aged character in both films, as well as an older self in second one. With completely different technology to help the films. Both films are visually stunning for the time of their releases and this could easily be one of the most iconic sci-fi roles in film history.

4. The Dude – The Big Lebowski (1998)

“The Dude” Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it. Jeff creates on of the laziest characters we love in this film.

3. Dr. Mark Powell – K-Pax (2001)

This is one of my personal favorite films of all time, Mark is the psychologist who has to figure out the story behind a mystery man who has come to his institute who claims he is from space. The interaction between Bridges and Spacey are absolutely brilliant and the film keeps you wondering about the truth even after seeing it.

2. Starman – Starman (1984)

In this one Jeff is the alien who crash lands on Earth and takes the form of a widows dead husband, the two go on a road trip giving her a final good bye and him a chance to get home. This was such a good performance it was one of his Oscar nomination.

1. Rooster Cogburn – True Grit (2010)

Rooster helps a stubborn young girl track down the men who murdered her father. It what is a brilliant performance where the character is serious and crazy in ever motion this had to be picked as my favorite role.
