Top 5 Favourite Car Films

By Newguy

Furious 7 is racking in the money at the Box Office it was suggest by Emma to do a top 5 favorite car movies, I decided that I would make a simple rule of one per franchise and I would like to point out that I have seen too many of the classic films so you won’t see any of them making the list. What would be your favorite film that revolves around cars?

5. Cars (2006)

cars

A hot-shot race-car named Lightning McQueen gets waylaid in Radiator Springs, where he finds the true meaning of friendship and family. Even though this is considered Pixar’s weakest film I still find it very enjoyable.

4. Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000)

seconds

A retired master car thief must come back to the industry and steal 50 cars with his crew in one night to save his brother’s life. This is the oldest film on my list but easily one of the most enjoyable.

3. Death Proof (2007)

proof

Two separate sets of voluptuous women are stalked at different times by a scarred stuntman who uses his “death proof” cars to execute his murderous plans. Many people see this as Tarantino’s weakest work but I find this one just fun and enjoyable.

2. Death Race (2008)

race

Ex-con Jensen Ames is forced by the warden of a notorious prison to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.

1. Fast & Furious 5 (2011)

five

Dominic Toretto and his crew of street racers plan a massive heist to buy their freedom while in the sights of a powerful Brazilian drug lord and a dangerous federal agent. I have picked this one because I believe it is when the film franchise changed and became the juggernaut it has become.
