David Fincher is one of the best directors in the business today, To celebrate his birthday today I am going to look at my top 5 favorite pieces of directed work from the great man. His directing has ranged from music videos, tv shows and Oscar winning films.
5. Zodiac (2007)
I admit I took my time to watch this as I had seen the film out year earlier that was nowhere near this quality. This follows a reporter and police officer trying to find the infamous Zodiac killer.
4. Panic Room (2002)
A divorced woman and her diabetic daughter take refuge in their newly-purchased house’s safe room, when three men break-in, searching for a missing fortune.
3. The Game (1997)
Wealthy San Francisco financier Nicholas Van Orton gets a strange birthday present from wayward brother Conrad: a live-action game that consumes his life.

It would fair to say this would be most people’s number one but not mine. An insomniac office worker looking for a way to change his life crosses paths with a devil-may-care soap maker and they form an underground fight club that evolves into something much, much more…
1. Se7en (1995)
Two detectives, a rookie and a veteran, hunt a serial killer who uses the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi. I pick this as my number one as it offers the most shocks in the story and shows that even the good guy can snap if he is pushed that far.
