Top 3 Skin Care Products That Work For My Oily Skin

By Dressmeupbuttercup @hazelsalcedo

It just seems fitting that I share with you what products I’m currently using (and loving) since I recently posted the 5 Basic Things You Need To Know About Skin Care.

I couldn’t emphasize enough the importance of CLEANSING, TONING, and MOISTURIZING to keep your skin looking healthy. Here are the top 3 skin care products that work well for my oily skin.

Top 3 Skin Care Products That Work For My Oily Skin

1. Human Nature Balancing Facial Wash (Elemi and Orange)

What I find unique about this local facial cleanser is that it has bamboo scrubs which gently exfoliates clogged pores. It also smells great all thanks to the Citrus sinensis (orange) oil it has. I searched what Elemi is and found out it’s a tree native to the Philippines which is said to possess countless skin care benefits such as for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. I lost count of how many times I repurchased this but really, it’s totally worth the Php200 I paid for. (Available in Beauty Bar and other leading supermarkets).

2. Snoe Shoo-Zit Don’t Bother Me Mattifying Acne Toner

I almost always raise my brows and be skeptical whenever I see products that claim to have mattifying effect. But still, I gave this one a shot since I know Snoe is a reputable local brand. After testing it for a few weeks now, I have to say it does great in the mattifying department AND get this, I notice only minimal oil build up throughout the day. I could easily tell if I used this toner or not cos by midday I’d see oil creeping back to my life if I didn’t. The only downside I see is that it can leave nasty white marks on the face when you don’t shake the bottle well prior to application. Haha, but that’s just the lazy me complaining. Other than that, give this wonder product a try! (Available in Snoe outlets for P299).

3. Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel

After trying several moisturizers in the past, I usually find most of them sticky, oily or too heavy for daytime application (which is why I skip moisturizer before! ugh who needs moisturizer like that when you live in a humid place like Manila). Then, enter this lightweight moisturizer in gel form from Paula’s Choice. It leaves a nice matte finish when you let it dry completely before layering foundation or other makeup base. (Available in Lazada for Php1,120).

So there you have it! I hope this post was useful especially for ladies with oily skin out there! I want to know what are your top 3 skin care products!
