Top 10 Recreated Childhood Doodles As Digital Art
Like many budding artists Telmo Pieper had a great imagination as a child and drew some amazing (if a little basic) animals and everyday things. But now he’s an adult his talents are a little better, and so is his childhood drawings…
Top 10 Recreated Childhood Doodles As Digital Art
..

Telmo Pieper: Teddy
10 – Teddy
If I saw a bear in the water I would keep very quiet and move away slowly. But if I saw this bear I would think I was having some sort of mental breakdown!

Telmo Pieper: Mission Control Tower
9 – Mission Control Tower
I think the old drawing the did as a child is much better than the digital, updated one. The drawing seems to make sense almost.

Telmo Pieper: Shark
8 – Shark
Now this is not bad at all and seems to translate into digital art much better than some of them. In fact I could well believe this was a real animal!

Telmo Pieper: Beetle
7 – Beetle
While a little bit out of proportion in some parts this is another good translation into digital art. Even back then the artist’s eye for detail was far beyond anything I could ever do. In fact I still draw like he did as a child!

Telmo Pieper: Butterfly
6 – Butterfly
Head heavy but otherwise a good translation. If this butterfly landed on while I was in a butterfly farm me I might not be as happy about it as I would a normal, real one doing so.

Telmo Pieper: Bird
5 – Bird
I think this is one of the better ones because the original childhood drawing is not bad at all! I seriously don;t think I could do any better myself!

Telmo Pieper: Snail
4 – Snail
All the main snail features are there, but as a child he was more interested in the snail rather than the shell it lives in.

Telmo Pieper: Car
3 – Car
This is one scary looking car! In fact the digital image might have motion blur on it, but I don’t think this car would go that fast! Very…hurst looking indeed.

Telmo Pieper: Fly
2 – Fly
Definitely the scariest looking fly you will ever see! I think the childhood drawing makes the fly look cute, but add a few digital hairs and colour and it seems like the stuff of nightmares!

Telmo Pieper: Whale
1 – Whale
There is something very prehistoric about this whale. If you showed me this and told me it lived millions of years ago I would see no reason to disbelieve you. But much like all these images the things from the past often get lost in translation of modern forms of Media. Lets face it, not even Jurassic park got it right!
