Darts is a sport that has grown immensely in popularity over the last couple of decades. The PDC World Darts Championship is now played at the Alexandra Palace in London, with thousands visiting that tournament each year.
Here is a look at who are the greatest 10 darts players of all time.
10. Michael Smith
Bully Boy Michael Smith is the defending world champion in the PDC and the world number one in the Order of Merit. He is 9/1 in the world darts odds to retain his crown at the Alexandra Palace in the latest renewal of the event.

Welshman Gerwyn Price has won seven major titles with the PDC, including the World Championship in 2021. The former professional rugby league player is 11/2 in the world darts winner odds to win a second world crown in the 2024 tournament.
8. Adrian Lewis
Jackpot Adrian Lewis is a two-time world champion. He is a former world number one who has also had wins in the UK Open and European Championship.
7. James Wade
Although he has yet to win a world title, James Wade is third on the list of most PDC major title wins. The Machine has won 11 premier event titles, including three UK Open successes.
6. John Part
Two-time world champion John Part is the greatest Canadian darts player in history. He beat Phil Taylor to win his maiden world crown in 2003, while a second world title went his way in 2008 when he defeated Kirk Shepherd.
5. Gary Anderson
Scotland’s Gary Anderson has been one of the most dominant players on the PDC circuit since he switched from the BDO in 2009. He is a winner of two world championships, and he has won the Premier League on two occasions.
4. Raymond Van Barneveld
With four world titles with the BDO and a world championship crown with the PDC, Raymond van Barneveld is a five-time world champion. Barney, as he is nicknamed, held the world number one spot between January and June in 2008. He remains on the PDC Tour.
3. Eric Bristow
Five-time world champion Eric Bristow dominated the 1980s in the sport. He was one of the biggest sports stars in the UK at the time. “The Crafty Cockney” won 62 career titles before retiring in 2007.

Flying Dutchman Michael van Gerwen has world three world titles with the PDC, and that number is likely to increase over the next few years. He has set an incredible standard in the sport, with 159 singles titles going his way.
1. Phil Taylor
With 16 world titles, Phil Taylor is the greatest darts player to ever live. The Power dominated the sport across three decades. He made his debut in 1987 and he only just retired in 2018. Taylor was inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame in 2011.
With the standard in darts improving all the time, it may not be long before new players join the top-10 all-time list.
