Tokyo Bubble Tea’s Japanese Cheesecake Cream

I love coffee and bubble tea. But in this Japanese fusion restaurant, I discovered their so-called Japanese Cheesecake Cream which I am adding to my list.

If you've read my posts or follow my IG stories, you know that I have a few favourite tea shops and that I really stick to them. On a recent food trip with the family, I took the courage to try a different tea shop. I know I'm quite late, very late and you've probably already tried the teas here. But I am not the type who would line up just because everyone is.

That is why I just discovered Tokyo Bubble Tea and their Japanese Cheesecake Cream. 🙂

Tokyo Bubble Tea was introduced in the country by the McWilson Group of Restaurants in 2007. Though it says bubble tea, they are actually more than just a tea place. Tokyo Bubble Tea is a Japanese fusion restaurant which means they offer a full menu of Japanese fusion dishes that goes well with their tea-based drinks. They have a selection of Ichiban burgers, Yoshoku Plates, Classic Japanese Bowls, and Midori Makizushi.

I haven't tried their food yet but I finally got the chance to try their bubble teas. Mainly because I saw people come and go to the shop next to the restaurant my family and I were at. Anyway, I checked their shop after lunch. When I entered, the staff looked my way and greeted me. Since it was my first time, I asked one of their staff for a recommendation and I went with their:

Royal Milk Tea with Bubbles (Php 115)

Matcha JCC (or Japanese Cheesecake Cream) (Php 125)

Carrot Cake Slice (Php 110)

I'm gonna be honest, I do not like their Royal Milk Tea with Bubbles. I've tasted better. However, I do love their bubbles ("sago" or tapioca) because of its soft-chewy texture. Their Matcha Japanese Cheesecake Cream, on the other hand, was very delightful! I already love matcha, to begin with, but this is a whole new level. It's sweet and has a lovely creamy texture which I truly enjoyed.

Oh! I also took home a slice of their carrot cake for my abuelita. Let me tell you that their cake is good but it's not sugar-free. My abuelita still loved it though and I did, too.

So, will I be back? If I'm craving for sweeter matcha, I will definitely get my Matcha JCC fix. What about their food? Honestly, I am not interested at the moment.
