Flamenco Island, Panama City
Flamenco Island is the last in a series of four islands linked to the mainland via a causeway made from rock dredged while excavating the Panama Canal. Together these islands are known as Amador Causeway. It’s a nice stretch for boaters, joggers and cyclers, and is well-known for its restaurants and nightlife.
This photo was taken from the Smithsonian Tropical Research Station, a park on the Causeway that is open to the public.
