Today's Review: Haribo Sandia
Here's the first of my holiday pickups, I thought I'd start with one of the various interesting Haribo varieties that filled the shelves. This bag consist entirely of watermelon sweets, they're one of my favourites to fill a Candy King cup with, so I was excited to see how Haribo would handle them.
Unfortunately, not so well. These have a distinct watermelon taste, sure, but it doesn't last all that long before it gives way to a quite bitter, not all that fruity taste. For fizzy looking sweets they're certainly not all that sour, and while I tried my best to like them, after the first couple of chews of each sweet I couldn't handle the taste. The watermelon flavor is quite nice for the very short time it lasts, but what it turns into is not nice at all. I'd give these ones a miss and go for the pick 'n' mix version if I were you.
My rating: 1/5
