Today's featured abstract painting is WAKE UP CALL, painted in 2002. It has many pale colors made by mixing a lot of white into other colors. There are blue-grays and green-grays in this, too, as well as white and black.
The solid block of red stands out from the paler colors surrounding it. The other strong color is a dark green.
Black lines were drawn to emphasize some of the shapes. The overall design looks somewhat flower-like in that it has a centroal focus spiralling out, but what would be petal shapes on a flower are too geometric to suggest plant life.
