Lorette Luzajic is an independent writer and artist living in Toronto, Canada. You can get a sense of who she is by the quote on the front page of her website, Idea Fountain Productions: "Tell me what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
I love the energy in Lorette's mixed media paintings, and the wonderful way she integrates text, color and images:

Lorette's work has been shown in restaurants, galleries, raves, cafes, and the Royal Ontario Museum. It has also appeared on the cover of Cross Currents Magazine.

Surface texture is also very important to Lorette's work:

Lorette helped found the Idea Museum Arts Collective, curating art shows and hosting creative arts parties. Her articles, stories and poems have appeared in Everyday Fiction, The Fiddlehead, Modern Poetry, White Wall Review, and hundreds more. She has also published a number of books featuring her art and writing.

Lorette is also an active blogger, often featuring other artists in her entries. Check out her Idea Fountain Blog. Here's a story she wrote recently about the assemblages of Leo Kaplan.
