If you will not hearken and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory unto My name, says Hashem of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings . . . Behold, I will rebuke the seed for your hurt and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your sacrifices; and you shall be taken away unto it (Mal 2:2-3).
Self-love has come to rule in your hearts. They have taken up the place of ‘king,’ replacing the legitimate rule of the King of glory. How can you say that you love Him when you do not visit Him, you do not even go to see Him? Patiently, He waits and waits and waits; imprisoned and exposed anew.
But in vain for you do not go. You prefer to fill your lives with a multitude of things and events which do not have the ability to speak, breathe or give life, rather than filling your lives with the soul-gratifying and incomparably fruitful presence of Beautiful Love.
My covenant was with him of life and peace and I gave them to him, and of fear and he feared Me and was afraid of My name. The law of truth was in his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness and did turn many away from iniquity. But you are turned aside out of the way. You have caused many to stumble in the law . . . so have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as you have not kept My ways, but have had respect of persons in the law (Mal 2:5-6, 8-9).
Oh, how beautiful and unparalleled is the kingdom of Pure Love! Yet many of you continue to resist His love, whereas others of you refuse to know otherwise. How unaware you seem to be about what you are missing out on, as a human family whom our Father wants to deify in His likeness! If only you consented to open your stony hearts just a sliver.
But grace from the divine Father of all is required in order for you to open your hearts and many of you remain stubborn in not wanting all the graces that are freely and repeatedly offered to you. You shun and reject graces – if you still believe in them – as though they were the plague, instead of giving thanks on your knees to God for His infinite generosity and beneficence.
This is the situation that is widely prevalent today, for you have not only accepted to let yourselves be deceived. You have accepted to be deceived to an extent unimaginable by your ancestors.
