Verdict on To Die Alone

Recap

The movie follows a woman hiking a remote trail, she meets a stranger who helps her after she gets injured. We see the pair try to get to safety, but they share the same problems from their past which challenge their desire to escape.

Best Parts

The idea we have two people searching for solace in their traumatic pasts is nice to see. It shows us their daily struggles and the guilt they feel. We add in the sprinkle of needing to get to safety with an injury and it creates an interesting thriller.

Worst Parts

The bond between the two can feel more forced than it seems. It leads us down a path where it can create a disconnect to the bigger picture and never feel as intense as it could.

Final ThoughtsTo Die Alone is a tense thriller with a surprising reality.
