Tito Jackson, Brother of Michael Jackson, Succumbed to Death

The member of the iconic family band, The Jackson 5, and brother of Michael Jackson, Tito Jackson, has passed away.

He was 70 years old at the time of his death.

Tito died of a heart attack while driving from Mexico to Oklahoma on Sunday. The former Jackson family manager Steve Manning told the media source, Entertainment Tonight.

Nevertheless, an official report for the exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

The singer and guitarist sons, TJ, Taryll, and Taj, confirmed their father’s death through an Instagram post on Sunday, saying that they were “shocked, saddened and heartbroken” by their father’s sudden death.

On the official page of their R&B group, 3T, he wrote, “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken.”

The post was further written on the official page of their R&B group 3T, “Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as ‘Coach Tito’ or some know him as ‘Poppa T. Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”

In 1966, the group expanded into Jackson, adding Michael and Marlon to the mix.

They later exploded into the mainstream in 1969.

They exploded the mainstream and left Motown in 1975, was forced to change its name to the Jacksons.

In 1984, Michael left the band “Thriller” and became one of the best-selling albums of all time, and also won eight Grammy Awards.

In 1970, Jackson topped the charts with several hits including “ABC,” “I’ll Be There,” and “I Want You Back.

Over the summer of 2024, he had been performing with the brothers, Jackie and Mathon, and performed in exciting shows in Scotland, England, and California.

On September 11, 2024, days before his death, he posted on Facebook from Munich, Germany, where he visited a memorial with his brothers.

Tito wrote, “Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honours not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”
