In summers most of the people suffer from sunburns. Heat hazzards affect almost every person exposed to sun rays. Sunburns can easily cause permanent damage to skin and further cause skin cancer, premature wrinkles, signs of aging and such other unwanted diseases. To avoid these we need sun protection. Which we easily get by using sunscreens. But how to look for a sunscreen.

SPF Sunblocks are available everywhere but the ones at drug store are sureky better than products at other pricier department stores at any cost. But the question is what to look for in your sunscreen lotion or cream.

What is SPF?

SPF stands for sun protection factor. It is a number such as 15,30,50 and above. It is actually the meausre of degree of s sunscreen to provide protectin to ypur skin from sun rays. Spf is the measure of tge amount of time you can spend in sun before getting a sunburn. But in any case you will never get the full sun protection untill and unless you don't follow the following steps properly using a sunscreen.

Tip to Use Sunscreen

1. Most people don't apply enough spf sunscreen, Which automatically reduces the affectiveness of sunscreen.

2. Apply about 5 to 6 teaspoon of the sunscreen to cover up the body.

3. Reapply after every two hours when exposed to outdoors for long duration .

4. Apply the sunscreen for atleast 30 mins before you go to outdoors.

5. People with more sensitive skin shoyld use an spf sunscreen of 30 or more.

The ingredients in sunscreen can be physical, chemical or a mixture of both. The physical ingredients works upon your skin and provide a protective layer in the form of cream, lotion, spray or gel.

Chemical Ingredients

Chemical ingredients in a sunscreen contains Zinc Oxide.this provides the best broad-specturm protection. Other ingredients are Titanium Dioxide. It provides protection from UVB and UVA radiations.
