Think Satin! Of course, you might have always used a cotton or microfiber pillow cover. You have probably heard it is good, but not good if you have curly locks! Use a satin pillow cover instead, since it does not strip the moisture off your hair and ensures your hair remains manageable after a good night’s sleep. Consider wearing a night cap when sleeping, to make sure your curls are intact and moisture is retained.

Trim: Trimming is a very essential and important hair routine. Trimming the hair every 4 – 6 weeks is very important to keep split ends at bay and promote hair growth. Make sure to go to a curly hair specialist to get the best cut. Besides, hair becomes healthier and stronger as well.

Don’t straighten your hair: Of course, many love to change their curls to straight hair. But doing that can really harm hair and create hair growth related problems. If you have curly hair, take care of it, so you can flaunt it in style! Curly locks can look good too, when taken care of properly.

Use the right comb: There are many different types of combs out there. However, there are wide-toothed combs with a rounded edge and can be made of wood. That’s the best comb for curly hair, though you can also use the plastic ones. Never brush your hair or use combs that aren’t meant for curly locks.

Dry your hair properly: When you dry your hair, don’t use a dryer or rub hard with a towel. Instead, blot out the water and retain the moisture of your hair. Besides, there would be no tangling this way.

Use the right hair care products: Shampoo and oil are very important for healthy locks. With dry hair, conditioner is also important. Choose the right products that suit your hair and ensure they aren’t loaded with chemicals.

Use Oil: Oil massage prior to hair wash is considered ideal to ensure tangle-free curls post hair wash. Olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil are considered best for hair. However, choose what suits your hair and budget best!

Choose the right hair style: Choose a hair style that will suit your curly locks and also, ensure your hair isn’t detangled or awkward.

Basically, with a few simple steps, one can maintain their curly hair well and avert bad hair days at all costs. Curly hair actually looks good and many long for wavy hair. When you have curly locks already, just take care with these simple tips given above and maintain the luster of your locks at all times.
