Our reception was held outside, but we created a ballroom appearance with gorgeous white ceiling curtains, tavern lighting, chandeliers and gobo lighting. Our guests had sparklers when we walked in, and sat on gold chiavari chairs at feasting tables, that had lots and lots of candles, beautiful runners, chargers, lush white flowers. The lighting was never bright, but just right. It was honestly my dream and life long visions come to life…”

“We met through a mutual friend in 2007 (on Facebook), but we did not have our first date until July 10, 2013 in Chicago (where I am from)! We saw each other for the first time at the Chicago Airport (because before that it was just via pics on Facebook), and we were both so nervous. Luckily it was love at first site for both of us… Louie was supposed to stay for two days and he ended up staying for six days… I guess it was a great first date!”

“From the beginning, I always knew I wanted a plain mermaid dress, as it would be ideal for my body type and style (I am not into busy dresses). When I went to Ultimate Bride (my aunt Elena’s bridal boutique), I immediately fell in love with Peter Lagner’s designs and collection. My aunt told me he was coming from Italy for a trunk show, and to wait until he was in town to make my final decision. On the day of the trunk show, I put on my dress first (out of the ones I chose), and the designer himself said “do not put any other dress on, this is it”. How could you go wrong when the designer himself gives you his blessing? It was meant to be! He also added my personal request to add buttons on the back. Our collaboration made for an epic piece that was perfect for me. The dress itself was made from French silk organza, and in certain lights it had a shimmering glaze to it. It was my dream…”

“There is not one “moment” that is better than the next. There are so many unforgettable moments that I will never forget, but the top ones are: The moment the church doors opened and I saw Louie at the end of the aisle, the moment I saw my entire vision and dreams come to life when I first saw the reception hall, when the DJ announced us as Mr & Mrs and we walked on the balcony to see our guests, our first dance, my dance with my father (we did the twist), having the people I love most in my life in San Diego at once (something that may never happen again), the day after the wedding my in-laws had a Cretan party with a music band direct from Crete… The list of favorite moments is endless! I am not kidding when I say I have so many unforgettable moments!”
