Time to Levitate

By Rohit Dassani

Levitate was opened earlier this year and has been one of the go to gastro pub in JP Nagar/Bannerghatta Road. Located right opposite Vega City Mall on the top floors of a building. The place is known for its quirky and colorful décor. Loved the music here as it make the whole place comes alive. We recently visit Levitate to try their menu.

Don’t forget to try their Hot Toddy, which is a boon for people who are unwell but still want to enjoy a drink. The drink was just perfect interms of spices and sweetness. When it comes to food we had the Tandoori Bharwan Mushrooms, this mushrooms were filled with cheese, bell peppers and was roasted in tandoor. The mushroom was super spicy and cheesy, amazing! The Tulsi Paneer Tikka is marinated with Indian basil and spices. The flavor of tulsi wasn’t very prominent. The Baked Jacket Potato Skins is probably my favorite dish on the menu. The potatoes are filled with spinach, onion and cheese.

We even had their Rava Upma Cheese Balls. These Upma balls is stuffed with cheese and coated in panko crumbs then deep fried. A totally new twist to this classic dish. The Papad Paneer was another amazing dish. The Paneer are marinated in onion, tomato and chilli chutney and coated with papad and then deep fried. This is a very spicy dish and we just couldn’t get enough of it.

The Tandoori Paneer Pizza was topped with paneer pieces along with capsicum, onion, olives and cheese. The Pizza was good in taste but the crust was way to hard. The Farmer’s Paneer Steak with Madras curry sauce is made with cottage cheese steak stuffed with cashews and cheese and is served with a creamy Madras curry sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables. The dish is a complete dish in itself and is very filling. The Dal Makhani with Garlic Naan was delicious. Loved it!

When it comes to desserts don’t miss on the Molten Cake with Vanilla Icecream. This gooey center is filled with molten chocolate. The crush was buttery and just melts in the mouth. The Tiramisu was layered with rum layered coffee cake and mascarpone cheese. While the Milk Chocolate Dome is a crunchy chocolate dome outside but creamy milk chocolate mousse inside in a bed of feuilletine. All the desserts here were really good.

Overall, the food and drinks at Levitate are really mouth-watering. Don’t miss on the Molten Cake and the Potato skins which are out of the world.
