I have to admit, I am in love with Tiffany Style lamps and have been since I was a child. They speak to me in ways I cannot explain. Like the art behind stain glass itself, the beauty of a Tiffany style lamp is the reflection that is created by the colored glass and the light emitted from the lamp.
They remind me of holidays and weekends when family camping trips were the order of the day.
Furniture and accessories at the family cabin were pretty basic for the most part. Mom had a knack for creating the perfect rustic decor that made everyone feel warm and welcome. It comprised mostly of dark wood and hand woven or crocheted blankets and rugs.
Simple, but elegant at the same time.
Her cherished Tiffany lamps sat at either side of the living room furniture on cedar tables further enhancing the rustic feel of the cabin but showed mom's true sense of style; sheer elegance. In some ways the decor was a total contrast within itself, but somehow it just worked.
Tiffany style lamps were extremely trendy and they are slowly making a huge comeback. I for one couldn't be happier.
