Things are going to get quite interesting for emoji domains heading into next week, specifically expiring auctions.
I’ve been keeping close watch and tabs on emoji domains in general, paying close attention to the number that are expiring on a weekly basis.
This upcoming week is far by the largest wave of expiring emoji domains to hit since I first reported in Dec 2017.
🌊 There are nearly 1,900 expiring emoji domains in auction via GoDaddy’s Aftermarket. 🌊 Over 60% of the auctions occur Friday (2/23) and Saturday (2/24) of next week. 🌊
I reviewed an eaxct list of 1,890 expiring emoji domains. Many of the emoji domain registrations soon to expire have me scratching my head as to why someone would have ever registered such a combination in the first place at $4-5 a pop (and by the hundreds too!).
And although I don’t know it to be a fact, but perhaps emoji domain renewal fees are stacking up ($20-$40 fee per emoji domain renewal). 🤔
Now that’s not to say or state all on this week’s list were bad registrations. There were a few domains that caught my eye.
In my opinion, the following expiring domains *might* be worth considering should they find a home with the right corporate or personal brand:
