Thy Kingdom Come

Living in the Divine Heart of God our Father is to live in immeasurable sweetness, tenderness and love – a union of adoration, joy and bliss amid the suffering of our earthly toil. In the Father, we find respite and refreshment from the world, as we drink life from the core of His Heart. But to receive the fullness of these gifts within ourselves, we cannot remain distant and gripe. We must turn to God as Father with filial trust.

Living in the Father is simple to attain; He wants to hold us all in His bosom. But for this to happen, we must decide to accept Him with genuineness, for the Eternal Father will not come with the fullness of His glory against our will.

These days – particularly, in these 21st century days – we like to be as independent as possible. Any hint of dependence, on anything or anyone, is considered wrong if not pathological. But we were not made this way. We were made to live in and with our Heavenly Father, depending on Him for all our needs. Never were we intended to be independent as we strongly desire to be.

Let us, therefore, not allow our vainglorious ideas of what should be, rather than what is, preclude the love, sweetness and tenderness our Father desires to shower us with most intensely. Let us accept that the Most High God comes and lives in us – the Kingdom come.
