This week the Wandering Through The Shelves is a found footage theme, I have decided to put together my three favorite found footage films. This are not considered the best but I feel they all enter into the ideas of what I enjoy in the found footage genre.
Troll Hunter (2010)
We get to follow a group of student reporters as they work with a mysterious man who claims to hunter trolls. As the film unfolds we learn about different types of trolls and how to stop them in what is actually a very funny horror film.
Grave Encounters (2011)
As a big fan of the paranormal investigating shows, this feeds straight into what I enjoy watching. It follows a team of paranormal investigators as they try to explain the goings on inside an abandoned mental home. This all does come off rather clichéd but it does have a couple of shocking moments.
Chronicle (2012)
After three high school friends uncover mysterious goo they start to get super powers while recording it all they see their powers increase but when ones powers start turning him very dark the others have to stop him before he destroys himself and everyone they love. Granted this isn’t a horror it is still one of the best found footage films ever made.
