Do you have to spend the world to look good? Yes and no is the answer. On one hand I agree that spending more means you often get better quality, but on the other hand you may get more for your money if you spend less.
The thing that I tend to think now is that if you are to pay next to nothing, then after one or two washes you find the garment to be misshapen or falling apart... well that's my understanding...
I used to love Primark and would shop in there loads whilst at uni, but all clothing was disposable after a couple of washes. When Primark put their prices up I resisted it and pretty much became anti Primark. Why should I pay more for clothes that weren't any better in quality?
So yes for years I avoided Primark until I came across it in Selfridges. I was confused as much as Mama Bean, who after seeing two gorgeous dresses had to do a double take at the fact they were actually Primark.
I did what any girl would do when she saw a dress she loved... I bought it. I couldn't help it as it was only £17.00.
The dress has a floral/paisley style pattern all over it with a cut out front and on the back. I wasn't a huge fan of cut out dresses but I was really drawn to this one.
Excuse my cheeky grape vine getting in on the photo... I really need to start controlling it a bit more!
I love how the cut out of the back is, it's not too exposed either which makes it the perfect dress for either casual or for drinks wth the girls.
Underneath the dress has a netted underskirt which makes the dress stand out a bit more, making you appear more curvy with the nipped in waist
I was quite surprised how many compliments I've had about this dress. It is a flattering cut and has surprisingly washed really well so I can't really complain. I simply teamed it with my Miss Selfridge peep toe nude heels, Next white envelope clutch and simple silver accessories. I'm not sure if you like it or perhaps seeing me in it has put you off but you can get the Primark Floral Print Proms Dress from ASOS and it's only £17.00
Is it just me or is anyone else finding some great Primark dresses? Are you feeling warmer to shopping there... or was it just me who avoided them?!
xoxo
