Three suspects who were arrested in connection with verbally abusing President Ranil Wickremesinghe when he was serving as the Prime Minister, were released on bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage. They were released on a surety of Rs.100,000 each.
The Magistrate stated that the three suspects will be released on bail without being presented for an identification parade due to the statements made by the witnesses that they can identify if they see them. The Magistrate fixed further inquiries for September 1.
