The Hollywood Reporter previously reported that Oscar winner Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine) is writing the script for the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII. Now, word of Lawrence Kasdan – who wrote the scripts for Episodes V and VI as well as Raiders of the Lost Ark – and Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes, X-Men: Days of Future Past) – reportedly – closing deals to write the scripts for the final two installments of the new “Star Wars” trilogy is circulating.
Kasdan and Kinberg would also join the projects as producers alongside Kathleen Kennedy.
No comment from Disney and Lucasfilm yet. Studio says that official announcements about the new Star Wars movies will appear on StarWars.com.
