Three mid-range smartphones under the LG K-series announced

LG has announced three new mid-range smartphones under the K series of devices: LG K61, LG K51S and LG K41S. The highlight of 2020 K-series devices is the quad-lens camera setup at the rear.

The premium-of-the-three LG K61 comes with a 6.5-inch display and 4,000 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back. It also features a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound for connected headphones. The smartphone features 4 GB RAM and 64 or 128 gigs of internal storage. It will run on a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor.

The primary camera is a combination of 48 MP standard + 8 MP super wide + 5 MP depth sensor + 2 MP macro lens setup. The selfie camera is placed in a punch-hole cut out in the display. 5G is not supported.

The LG K51S comes with a 6.5-inch display and 4,000 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back. It also features a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound for connected headphones. The device features 3 GB RAM and 64 gigs of internal storage. It will run on a 2.3 GHz octa-core chipset.

The rear camera is a combination of 32 MP standard + 5 MP super wide + 2 MP depth sensor + 2 MP macro lens setup. The front camera is placed in a punch-hole cut out in the display. 5G is not supported.

The LG K41S comes with a 6.5-inch display and 4,000 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back. It also features a DTS:X 3D Surround Sound for connected headphones. The handset features 3 GB RAM and 32 gigs of internal storage. It will run on a 2 GHz octa-core CPU.

The primary camera is a combination of 13 MP standard + 5 MP super wide + 2 MP depth sensor + 2 MP macro lens setup. The secondary camera is placed in a teardrop notch in the display. 5G is not supported.

Pricing and availability

The exact pricing of the new K series handsets is not known yet, but is clear from their specifications that they will be placed in the mid-range segment of the market. All the three devices are expected to go on sale in the second quarter of this calendar year.
