The hot air balloons, which are all owned by the same company, fell in different places and did not collide, according to Teton County Sheriff Matt Carr.
The weather apparently contributed to the accidents, but authorities do not yet know exactly what happened, Carr added. An investigation is underway to establish the thread of events.
At least one person had to be airlifted to hospital, the sheriff added.
The hot air balloons, which are owned by the Wyoming Balloon Company, crashed over an area about one kilometer long.
