Hollywood isn’t exactly known for being a wholesome environment. These last few years have certainly proven that what with the #MeToo scandals, pedophilia charges, and drug-related felonies. Not to mention the soul-sucking corporate types who are only in it to make some easy cash, which has led to the view that Hollywood just churns out sequels and reboots and is void of any originality.
Whether or not THAT is true is a topic for another time, but out of that cesspool are still some winners to bet on next time you’re throwing money around an online casino. Or something. Here are three of the nicest actors IRL that Hollywood hasn’t yet tainted!
Chris Pratt
Chris Pratt was born in 1979 in Virginia, Minnesota but moved to Lake Stevens, Washington when he was three years old. He graduated Lack Stevens High School in 1997 and dropped out of community college halfway through the first semester.
He ended up homeless in Hawaii, although he didn’t seem to mind. “It’s a pretty awesome place to be homeless.” He told the Independent, “We just drank and smoked weed, and worked minimal hours.” During this time, he worked for the organization Jews for Jesus, and in contrast to everything else I’ve stated here, Chris Pratt is actually a devout Christian.
He worked in various small roles until 2009, when he played the part of Andy Dwyer in the NBC series Parks and Recreation, which was his breakout role. After that, he’s starred as the voice for Emmet Brickowski in the LEGO Movie, and as Star-Lord in the Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
His natural charisma and on-screen energy made him immensely popular, and he has since starred in Jurrasic World, The Magnificent Seven, and various other Marvel films, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: End Game.

Keanu Reeves
Is it just me, or does Keanu Reeves just have one of those faces that don’t seem to age?
Anyway, Keanu Reeves was born in 1964, in Beirut. Reeve’s mother went through four marriages, and he primarily grew up in Toronto. Reeves attended four different high schools and was expelled from one of them. He was never to obtain a high school diploma.
He moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s and acted in various minor roles until 1986 when he began to get more sizable and successful roles in the films Speed, River’s Edge, Permanent Record, and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. In 1999, he starred in the hit film The Matrix, produced and directed by the Wachowski Siblings. More recently, he’s starred in the John Wick trilogy as well as the video game Cyberpunk 2077.
Keanu is nonreligious, although he has expressed interest in Buddhism, and has been quoted saying, “I believe in God and the Devil, but they don’t have pitchforks and long white beards.” When asked by Steven Colbaire about what he thinks happens after death, Keanu took a moment before replying, “I know that the ones who love us will miss us.”
Hugh Jackman
Despite the tough-as-nails roles he has played, I think Hugh Jackman is actually a big softie.
Hugh Jackman was born in Sydney, New South Wales, in Australia in 1968. He went to Pumble Public School and later attended the Knox Grammar School, and starred in the production of My Fair Lady in 1985. After graduation, he spent a year as a Gym teacher for Uppingham School in England and graduated the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelors Degree in communications.
He got a role for an Australian show Correlli, where he met Deborra-Lee Furness, his future wife.
Hugh Jackman became known outside of Australia in 1998, when he played a leading role in the stage production of Oklahoma!, in London’s West End.
His breakthrough role, however, was in the 2000 film X-Men, where he played as the mutant Wolverine. He has starred as Wolverine since then in the films X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse, and finally, in Logan 2017. The role has earned him the world record of ‘longest career as a live-action Marvel superhero’.
He was once offered the role of James Bond but turned it down. Hugh Jackman told the British Press Organisation, “I was about to shoot X-Men 2 and Wolverine had become this thing in my life and I didn’t want to be doing two such iconic characters at once.”
