What Are the Cheapest Fixed-Rate Energy Plans in Dallas?

You have the power to choose your electricity provider in Texas. And if you’re looking to switch to a fixed-rate plan with the cheapest energy rates in Dallas, then you have a few options. These three plans provide the lowest energy rates for customers in the ONCOR service area.

Which Fixed-Rate Plan Has the Lowest Electricity Rates?

What can be better than cheap electricity from a reputable Texas energy company? Gexa Energy’s Gexa Saver Supreme 24 plan has an average of 8.7 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of usage. The plan’s energy charge is12.4 cents per kWh but that cost lowers significantly if you use between 1000 – 2000 kWh in one billing cycle because you’ll receive a $75 bill credit.

Be aware, however, that there is a steep $295 early termination fee. But at the end of the day, if you want the cheapest rates from one of the highest rated energy providers in Texas, then this is the plan for you.

A Cheap Energy Plan with a Shorter Fixed-Rate

If you don’t want to commit to a two year fixed-rate plan, then Gexa also offers the Gexa Saver Supreme with an energy charge of 12.5 cents per kWh. At 1000 kWh of usage, the average rate of this plan is only a penny more than Gexa Saver Supreme 24 or just 8.8 cents per kWh. But with those slightly higher rates, comes a much cheaper early termination fee of only $150.

Is There a Cheap Fixed Plan with a Low Termination Fee?

Constellation’s 12 Month Usage Bill Credit offers cheap early termination fee electricity in Dallas. This plan’s energycharge is 8.9 cents per kWh. The TDU also adds the $3.49 per month and 3.4 cents for each kWh on top of that rate. But just like the other two plans, customers are eligible for a bill credit. When you use 1000 kWh in a billing period, you’ll receive a $35 bill credit. You’ll receive another $15 when you hit 2000 kWh of usage in a single month. The result is a low average rate of 9.2 cents per kWh for 1000 kWh of energy use.

And if you’re unhappy with the plan and want to terminate early, the fee is only $50. This makes it easier to switch Texas electrical companies if a better plan appears in the future.
