Nobody (2021)

Genres: Action, Crime, Drama, Thriller | 1h 32min
Director: Ilya Naishuller
Cast: Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, Alexei Serebryakov, Christopher Lloyd

A bystander who intervenes to help a woman being harassed by a group of men becomes the target of a vengeful drug lord.

The film begins with a montage of Hutch Mansell's (Bob Odenkirk) everyday existence. Things like going to work, missing garbage collection day, and being looked down on are all part of it. From those scenes, we learn a little about him, but not much.

Why? Because his life is repetitive to the point that you wonder if it is HIS life. However, discovering the truth about our main character does not take long.

Ilya Naishuller's "Nobody" is a fast-paced, straightforward, and unpretentious film. It knows what it is and presents it to the audience. Be aware that the film does not sugarcoat the revelations.

Short story long, um, I used to be what they call an auditor for those three-letter agencies.

An auditor, as in, uh... (sighs) the last guy any organisation wants to see at their door.
