Those Involved With .Sucks Took Care Of Themselves

Posted on the 10 May 2015 by Worldwide @thedomains

Since Domainincite.com has been putting out a few stories about the new gTLD .sucks leading up the hearing in Washington on Wednesday here,  here and here,  that the Internet Commerce Association’s own Phil Corwin will be testifying in front of, I thought I would point out some domain names that are not going to be available to be registered in the .sucks extension.

It’s not clear if the domain names are registered or if they are reserved or blocked off by the registry but none are available at 101domain.com, one of the few registrars that have been selling premium domains as of late as late week including ICANN.sucks for over $200K.

The .sucks registry has  blocked or made unavailable .sucks domain names include the name of the .sucks registry, VoxPopuli who applied for to run the .sucks registry, the person who reportedly owns the registry Rob Hall of Momentous, the CEO fo the company,  and the company who reportedly will be running the registry on a technical level and all their principles.

So those involved in .sucks should have sent me a thank you card for my post of last year when I said this registry is going to be a problem for ICANN and for the New gTLD program” and just changed their pricing plan.

However no thank you or Christmas card was ever received by myself from .Sucks, instead the message came back to me that the negative attention .sucks received  was all my fault although I just reported the proposed pricing on their site.

According to 101domains, none of the following domains are available to be registered at any price”

RobHall.sucks

Rob.sucks

VoxPopuli.sucks

VoxPop.sucks

Berard.sucks (CEO)

Johnberard.sucks CEO)

Schilling.sucks

Uniregistry.sucks

FranksSchilling.sucks

Frank.sucks

As of the last check, Mike.sucks;  Berkens.sucks;  Mikeberkens.sucks and thedomains.sucks are not block and available to be registered

I’m not going to register any of those domain

For any haters out there feel free to go for it.

For the record a domain like Mothersday.sucks and Mothers.Sucks which could and should have been blocked or reserved by the registry are available.

One thing for sure Mothers.Sucks and MothersDay.Sucks sure do not

Happy Mothers Day to all.
