Blackpool’s political punks Those Fucking Snowflakes make their views of the current state of the world clear with ‘Stop Being Dickheads to Each Other’. Formed by members of Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons, Oceans Over Alderaan, and Goonies Never Say Die, the band’s sound fits somewhere between the abrasive yet melodic nature of Girl Band and Million Dead with Idles-style political wit thrown in for good measure.
The first single to be taken from forthcoming EP ‘U OK Hun?’ (due in January next year), the song is about how everyone should have the right to be treated fairly and equally – apart from one select, very powerful group… The band open the song by giving a reminder that shouldn’t be needed in 2019 – ‘There’s no black, there’s no white, there’s just people, there’s just people. There’s no gay, there’s no straight, there’s just people, there’s just people. There’s no men, there’s no women, there’s just people, there’s just people. There’s no rich, there’s no poor, there’s just people’ before then offering up some very timely advice.
