10 years ago, Collateral opened, directed by Michael Mann and starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. It opened in 1st with a weekly gross of 36.3M, an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 7.6 on IMDB. It went on to make 101M domestically, and 217M worldwide. It was his 12th 100M film. It was Jamie Foxx’s first, and is his 4th highest grossing of all time (adjusted). Collateral was nominated for two Oscars, including one for Foxx’s performance.

It helped to launch Channing Tatum as a star, and it is his 3rd highest grossing film of all time. Audiences gave it a 5.8, and critics disliked it with a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes. Dennis Quaid co-starred and it is also his 3rd highest grossing film of all time, despite a much longer career than Tatum. The film spawned a sequel, and a third is in the works.
It is also the 5th anniversary of Julie and Julia, starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. It ended up with a 94M domestic take, and 129M worldwide. Audiences gave it a 7.0 on IMDB, with critics liking it a bit more at 75%. Meryl Streep received an Oscar nomination for her role.
