Join a Silent Disco Party at Saint Lou’s Assembly

Saint Lou’s Assembly turns one this week and they’re taking the celebration seriously with an entire weekend of dancing, booze, and bocce ball. On Saturday, May 6 from 9pm – 12am, Lou’s is holding a silent disco party! Never partaken in such an event? Well, imagine everyone wearing wireless headphones and dancing, creating the effect of a room full of people dancing to absolutely nothing. Throw alcohol into the equation as well and you will be sure to experience some long lasting hilarious memories. Not to mention, some of the hottest Chicago DJ’s will be there.

On Sunday, Saint Lou’s is ditching the cake and doing a pig roast instead. For only $6, guests can enjoy a whole piece of hog meat, three sides, and a draft beer. Along with this sweet deal, Saint Lou’s is in a prime spot for activities. Go with friends and enjoy the patio setting or even go alone and make new friends playing bocce ball.

Regardless, this weekend at Saint Lou’s will be an incredible experience.

See a Show For a Cause at Thalia Hall or Empty Bottle

16” On Center, the development company behind locally adored restaurants, bars, and venues like Punch House, Empty Bottle, Moneygun, Saint Lou’s Assembly, and Thalia Hall, is doing big things. They’ve recently partnered with Social Works (Chance the Rapper’s foundation) in order to raise money for Chicago Public Schools.

How do they plan on receiving donations? Right now, they put a donation option to their online ticketing sites that prompt the purchaser with the option to add a $1 upsell to the final ticket cost. 100% of the money received from the upsell goes directly to Social Works and their #supportCPS campaign. In complete agreeance with Chance, it’s time to take our kids off the table and donate.

Wanna do your part for the movement… and have fun? Find a show to see at Thalia Hall or Empty Bottle, and don’t forget to make your donation when you purchase tickets.
