You may not have to wonder what the OnePlus 8T will look like, at least when you're staring at the screen.
Sleuths while searching the OnePlus code for Android 11 Developer Preview 4 (via Venkatesh Babu. G.) found a picture of the front of the OnePlus 8T. In this case, the design of the OnePlus 8 is not radically disrupted. It still features the pinhole camera and a familiar color scheme.
Remember, this can very well be a placeholder image. The plaster seems legitimate, but it is important to use a grain of salt to remove any such leaks.
Unfortunately, the preview does not show the back or other details of the 8T. Previous code leaks indicated that the 8T and 8T Pro may be upgraded to 64-megapixel primary cameras versus the 48-megapixel sensors in the existing OnePlus 8 range.
T-series phone upgrades tend to be modest and focus more on performance and minor design improvements. If that's the case with the 8T, you might see the Snapdragon 865 Plus and other improvements to keep OnePlus' high-end phones relevant for several months.
It is not certain when the OnePlus 8T family will arrive. OnePlus launched the 8 series in April, so an 8T could arrive in early to mid fall. There's also no indication of how much the price might be, although an incremental update suggests there might not be any significant price increases. These devices are all about fending off the competition without pushing the boundaries and the cost will likely reflect that.
