Bajaj Auto is one of the leading two and three wheeler manufacturers in India. They have been doing business outside the country for a long time. Bajaj already sells cars in several international markets. The company recently announced the opening of a manufacturing plant in Manaus, Brazil. In addition to a number of dealers and business partners, the governor of the Amazon province and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony. Currently they are selling cars in one hundred countries of the world.

Bajaj inaugurates new manufacturing facility in Brazil

It should be noted that currently Bajaj sells cars in 100 countries of the world. Their factory in Manaus covers an area of ​​9,600 square meters. The annual production capacity here is 20,000 units on single shift basis. The factory houses engine assembly, vehicle assembly and testing facilities. Bajaj plans to open another factory with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units in the near future.

The factory in Manaus has automated production lines and integrated quality control systems. There are also other state-of-the-art technology facilities. It is known that in the initial phase, only Dominar and Pulsar, different models of these two motorcycles will be produced in this factory. Work on preparing the Manaus facility began in June last year, with production of two-wheelers set to begin within a year.

Bajaj's factory will initially carry out sourcing, assembly and testing of Dominar models. The facility has received ISO certification for commencement of production. Bajaj Auto's Brazilian arm has been able to tie up local suppliers for bike manufacturing.
