The satin skirt. I most definitely wasn't an early adopter of this trend - mainly because it seemed as though the only version I saw was this Instagram famous leopard print style, and while I did love it, I just wasn't willing to pay so much for the trendy piece. More recently though, I've been seeing more affordable versions crop up at all of my favorite stores and finally decided to take the plunge when I saw this version while doing some shopping a month or so ago. After taking it out for a spin - actually a couple of spins, since I wore it pretty much twice in 4 days (no shame) - I can safely say that the satin skirt is THE skirt you need for spring.
For starters, it's way more versatile than I initially thought. You'll be able to dress it up with heels for a nice dinner or night out, wear it with sneakers on the weekends, and with sandals for more casual looks. It's also one of those kinds of pieces that has a style/color combo for everyone. Neutral palette enthusiasts can try a simple off white version, while those favoring a bit more color can opt for this version in an apricot hue, or go bold in a bright neon shade (my personal favorite!).

Back to the versatility and the mention of me wearing this skirt basically 50% of the time in the past few days. It was great for dinner, but I loved it so much more worn to work with a fresh pair of white sneakers.
