If you are in Barcelona today and tomorrow and love classic cars or in this case classic buses, then you are in for a treat as it’s the third Vintage Bus Rally Barcelona.
It is being organized by the TMB Foundation, Sagalés and ARCA.
A free exhibition
You’ll be able to see these vehicles that have been carefully restored at la Avenida Maria Cristina today on Saturday May 5th from 15:30 until 20:00. Among the vehicles involved in this classic rally are some of the best pieces of historical heritage of the TMB Foundation such as the magnificent Hispano Suiza of 1909 and the 1929 Ford AA from the Sagalés company, the Rochet Schneider 1933 from Gerard Pelissier, the Pegaso Z of Alsa from the year 1959 or the 1972 Sava minibus from ARCA. There will also be some international operators taking part in the rally.
This event is free and open to everyone. You can participate in the guided tours by registering at the entrance of the exhibition but places are limited.
Vintage Bus Rally Barcelona
Just for one day, these buses which date up to a hundred years old will be put back into circulation. On Sunday May 6th at 9:00 a.m you’ll be able to access the buses and the exhibition and at 10.30 a.m the rally will to Caldes de Montbui which is a small town just outside Barcelona to the North East will commence.
The rally will commence in Barcelona using the following route: Plaza Espanya – Gran Via de les Corts Catalans – Plaza Tetuan – Gran Via de les Corts Catalans – Plaza de las Glories – Gran Via de les Corts Catalans – C-31, exit 209 – B-10, Ronda Litoral – Nus Trinitat – B-20, exit. Number 1 Trinitat – Via Favència – Avenida Meridiana – C-17. on leaving the city of Barcelona the rally will follow some secondary roads and b roads to the towns of Montcada i Reixac, La Llagosta, Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, Palau-solità i Plegamans and onto Caldes de Montbui, where the rally will finish.
