The tour is only about one hour, making it a perfect stop for families looking to stretch legs and burn off a little energy. Crococun is located right on the main highway near the turn-off towards Puerto Morelos town. You can't miss it.
This small, interactive zoo is a perfect opportunity for kids to get up close and personal with a range of different species including the almost extinct Yucatecan crocodile. Be sure to get a feeding bag when you purchase your admission tickets, as there are a few animals in the zoo that kids can actually hand feed, such as the Yucatecan Deer.
Explore Underwater at the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef
Travelers from throughout the Riviera Maya come to Puerto Morelos to experience snorkeling on the spectacular barrier reef. The beaches along the Riviera Maya are special because there is a coral reef located very close to shore, especially close in Puerto Morelos, making this an ideal excursion with younger children as the boat ride is only a few minutes.
This underwater playground is located directly in front of the main village in Puerto Morelos. Because this is a Marine Reserve, snorkeling must legally be done with approved and certified guide so be sure to book a tour through a local operators or via one of the guides hanging out near the main pier in town.
