I've read a few of Paver's books before and tend to enjoy them so I was really looking forward to reading this book. I was not disappointed. I loved Thin Air and wish it was another couple of hundred pages longer. Thin Air is perfectly paced and every line is packed with tension and suspense. At times I felt like I was on the mountain with the men. I loved the fact the book is narrated by one character which makes what's going on even more intense. The book is labelled as a ghost story but it's one of those books where it's not clear if something supernatural is going on or if the events are due to mountain sickness. I loved the ending as well, in some ways it was predictable but it still took me by surprise because of the suddenness of what happens. Thin Air is fantastic. I now need to read all of Paver's books that I haven't read.
