Plot: A young boy emerges from a coma after a fall down an abandoned mine shaft. His family is confronted by dark, threatening spirits and the possibility that the child in their home might no longer be their son.

Story: They Whisper starts when Joseph (Goodwin) and Caroline’s (Young) son falls into a coma after falling into a mineshaft. The couple searches for answers about how the accident happened but are left with an aggressive neighbor who doesn’t want to help.
When their son begins to recover, they treat him at home. However, a darkness starts to take over the people around them and they must investigate the history of the mineshaft.

The movie follows a family who discovers their son in a coma after falling into a mineshaft. However, there is a much more sinister reason for him to be trapped in a coma, and they must figure out how to stop it before it is too late.
Best Parts
The mystery of what happened in the mineshaft gives us an interesting mystery to watch unfold. It touches on sensitive subjects, which puts a bigger risk into everything else happening.
Worst Parts
The scares aren’t as scary as they could be and not enough of the horror is embraced. It doesn’t click with the mystery and the town’s history, which could have elevated more.
Final Thoughts – They Whisper has an interesting mystery but struggles with horror.
