‘They Used a 2 Megapixel Camera’ — NTA Live Broadcast of Nigeria, Benin Match Sparks Outrage

The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) has come under heavy criticism over its live coverage of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between the country's men football team and their Republic of Benin counterparts.

Naijaparry reports that the match, won by the Super Eagles, was played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on Wednesday.

Shortly after the game commenced, some Nigerians took to Twitter to berate the broadcasting company over what they described as "poor picture quality" and "bad commentary analysis" of the match.

"Someone Said NTA used a 2MP front camera to video the match.
#ShameOnNTA," a Twitter user said.

"Y'all keep shouting about how Supersport has created a monopoly and that the govt should chase them, this and that....are you watching your national team on NTA right now? This is an absolute disgrace. I'd rather not watch the game. #ShameOnNTA," another user said.
