I've never read the poet before I wasn't sure what to expect. These poems are written in the second person as if the poet is speaking directly to the reader. This is an unusual style in poetry and works really well. The subject matter of the poems has been tackled an infinite number of times; love, hope, sexuality, being a woman etc. There's nothing really new here but I enjoyed the poems all the same.
