These, September Wishes

By Winyeemichelle
It’s been a day of hours, hours drifting from task to task, ticking things off slowly but surely and all in good time. What a novelty it is to log off for the week at a timely 5.07pm.
This morning I passed up on my usual morning cuppa Joe in favour of donning cosy layers and taking my miniature direwolf for a brisk stroll by the lake. We soaked up the first of Friday’s air, crisp and tantalisingly sweet, in a September sort of way. By far one of my more favoured months for its quiet promise of fresh pages, clean slates, autumnal glows and shorter evenings. We chatted here and there to fellow direwolves and walkers and I picked up a paper cup full of the sweet brown nectar that awakens me so.
And of course it was the first day back to Hogwarts, a day I so richly treasure and one that always necessitates a rewatch of that very first Potter film and a quick steal through the worn pages of my very first Potter book.
September promises a flurry of more and more layers by the day, a flying visit from Elodie before her trip to Seoul, a birthday - my brother’s, evenings spent reading from the comfort of a blanket, a month closer to Christmas and closer to adventures.
September, you will be so good.

My September To-Do List

+ Hang with my girls at Hannah’s place for a Mexican lunch date
+ Build my Essie Fox book collection
+ Cut down on coffee, a cup every other morning in its stead
+ Celebrate Daisybrother’s birthday
+ Treat Daisybf to an entire day of my undivided attention; but hear me out -- no emails, no photographs
+ Switch out my wardrobe and replace white blouses with charming knits
+ Find a perfect cruelty-free shampoo and conditioner duo
+ Feast on Korean food with Elodie before her travels
