Texting turned into work on an always-coming comedy and a throwaway invitation from Schumer to bring her new boyfriend to the Hamptons where she was meeting some friends from high school. "I was like, 'Oh, we're going on a boat tomorrow, you should come.' It was kind of a hypothesis, "Schumer revealed on The daily show, "and she was like, 'I think I'm coming,' and I was like, 'Oh my God.'"
Lawrence being "the coolest girl you've ever met," as Schumer said, she fits in perfectly. "She's the best girl, she was like a gang member." Which was evident in the published photos of the crew on rafting, jet skis and building a cheerleader-style human pyramid in high school. (Luckily, Lawrence was one with his pom poms as a teenager in Louisville.)
And just like that, the world was introduced to the perfect Hollywood friendship we never realized we needed as the duo continue to revel in dancing to pianos in Billy Joel the gig and the attempt to wear a matching red carpet outfit to the Golden Globes.
