There Is Still No Widespread Support For The New Tax Law
The Republicans knew their tax law was not popular with the public when they passed it. They were just hoping they could change public opinion once it was law. But so far, that has not happened. In this new survey, 46% disapprove while 37% approve. People are still convinced that the law mainly benefits the corporations and the rich -- not the middle class.
The chart below shows demographic support/opposition to the new tax law.
These charts were made using information in a new Pew Research Center survey -- done between January 10th and 15th of a random national sample of 1,503 adults, with a margin of error of 2.9 points.
