This is a new author for me. The Choice I Made is a terrific read and I will definitely read more of her work. I loved the way the author structured the book with information given in small doses and spread across the book so you need to keep reading to get all the clues and find out the truth. Who is Margaret's mother and was has she come looking for her in Wood Violet? What's the link to Julie's family and what will happen when it comes out? Will Julie work things out with Tristan or is Chase her true love? This is well written and compelling with excellent characters and I didn't want to stop reading each time I sat down and picked the book up. The characters are so real I felt like I really got to know them. Tristan was a horrible man, pompous and arrogant trying to make Julie feel guilty for choosing to stay and help at Wood Violent after her mother has a stroke.
