Verdict on The Zone of Interest

The Zone of Interest is a drama following the family of a commandant at Auschwitz. They live in the shadow of the concentration camp, trying to live a normal life, with the horror happening behind the walls.

This is a haunting movie that uses the calm family life that is happening in front of the horrors. It shows how the Nazis didn’t see anything wrong with what they did and leaves the audience dealing with what is going on in the background. Not showing anything, it makes it even more disturbing because the happy life the family is living leaves us shocked. This is the type of movie which sticks with you and one you don’t want to forget.
