We've been invited to join the writing process tour by Kelsie from It's Dog or Nothing. I've been having so much fun reading about everyone's process so when Kelsie tagged me to do this, I was so excited!
1. What am I working on? Good question! Having a new "puppy" in the house again after 4 years has really turned this house upside down. You quickly forget all the work, training and patience that comes along with that cute, adorable ball of fluff. So right now, I'm working on posts that involve raising our puppy, Bruin, the learning process that we go through with him, the fun we have incorporating him into our pack and of course all the mishaps along the way. Finally, I'm always working on product reviews, whether it be food, toys or books.
2. Why do I write what I do? Well, this blog started out as just an online photo album, if you will, for my family. I never grew up with dogs and after having two daughters and getting our first dog, Miley, I really wanted to capture all the fun and not-so-fun moments so when my girls are grown we can all look back at the memories. With that said, this blog has grown into so much more. I have gotten to know SO many fellow bloggers and micro-bloggers that I have learned a great deal from and really enjoy reading and learning about what they have to offer. Finally, I really try to keep this blog light hearted and fun, sharing our day to day adventures, mishaps and cool finds.
3. How does my writing process work? Ha! I wish I could call it a process but it is anything but that, which is surprising because I am a VERY organized person in all aspects of my life. I usually write my posts early in the morning when it's the most quiet. I sometimes sit down and write several posts at a time but most of the time I like to be more spontaneous and blog as things happen. Although I've thought about it many times, I don't keep an editorial calendar. What I do have is a ton of virtual sticky notes, yes there's an app for that! If something pops into my head, whether it be from a picture or experience, I'll put it on a sticky note to remind me later. Sometimes my ideas come from something that I've read about and wanted to share with my readers and how it relates to my dogs. Most times, my blogging inspirations come from the pictures I take, as my phone and/or camera are always an arms length away. Having three large dogs in the house, there is never a dull moment.
Well that's our process in a nutshell!
Don't forget to check out Kelsie's process and now we would like to invite 2 more bloggers to continue The Writing Process Tour:
