The World Will Soon Have A New “Biggest” Terminal

Soon enough there will be a new “world’s biggest terminal”. Today, Dubai holds this title with Grand Terminal 3 but not for long. Turkey is working on a new one million square meters terminal expected to open in 2019. Turkey is a country that’s becoming more and more popular among. Turkey has consistently featured in the top 10 tourist destinations in the world and is one of the most visited countries by foreign tourists, Lebanese included, in the world just behind France and Spain.

And for Lebanese, especially because it is nearby and travelers don’t need a visa… I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the first pictures of this new terminal you might be seeing live soon enough… 

The World Will Soon Have A New “Biggest” Terminal

Located on the black sea, 35 kilometers outside of the Turkish city, three international architecture experts are collaborating on this project: Grimshaw Architects, Haptic Architects and Nordic Office of Architecture. the project is on track to become the world’s largest airport terminal.
